People take part in a ceremony marking the 1,057th anniversary of Mazu's birthday in Putian, Southeast China's Fujian province, April 19, 2017. Mazu is named after a woman in Song Dynasty (960-1279) who was able to forecast the weather at sea and was later deified as a goddess of the sea.
