Chinese Red Cross Foundation launches aid program in Mongolia

BEIJING - Chinese Red Cross Foundation began a medical aid program for pediatric congenital heart disease in Mongolia under the Belt and Road Initiative Saturday.
Medical professionals and doctors from north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region will visit Mongolia and examine children with congenital heart disease there.
After the check-up, the foundation plans to send 100 Mongolian children back to China for surgery.
The Red Cross Society of China program is for all children among the Belt and Road countries, and Mongolia is beneficiary.
The Red Cross Foundation is currently working with medical organizations in Afghanistan.
