Soldiers and medical team arrive at landslide site for rescue operations

| A medical team prepares to fly to a landslide site for rescue operations in Xinmo village, Maoxian county, Aba Tibetan and Qiang autonomous prefecture, Southwest China's Sichuan province, June 24, 2017. A team of soldiers from the Western Theater Command and 15 medical staff members from Chengdu Military General Hospital boarded two helicopters in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, and left for the landslide site at 2 pm today. The landslide occurred at 6 am and buried 46 homes, leaving 141 people missing. The onsite rescue operation is under way. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn] |
