Plants are seen near the Daxihaizi Reservoir on the Tarim River in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. The water diversion to the lower reaches of Tarim River has reached one billion cubic meters since April 27 this year, which is part of the sustained efforts of the local government to maintain the eco-environment of the Tarim valley.[Photo/Xinhua]
