China Art Education Symposium opens at CAA

At the opening ceremony, Xu Jiang, president of China Academy of Art, gave a speech on arts education in the new era, stating: "The art education of the new era focuses on combining academic study and craftsmanship, art and new technologies, and the revitalization of eastern-style education."

Xu said that China Academy of Art always puts emphasis on developing "Visual Art Eastern Studies", which builds an eastern-style system of contemporary art creation and education by inheriting and promoting top-notch traditional Chinese culture as well as leading and practicing contemporary advanced culture.
