Hong Kong exports of goods up 7.3% in Q1

HONG KONG - The volume of Hong Kong's total exports of goods rose by 7.3 percent in the first quarter over the same period last year, statistics showed on Thursday.
The volume of imports of goods increased by 8.2 percent in the first quarter, according to the Census and Statistics Departments of the government of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the volume of total exports of goods rose by 2.2 percent in the first quarter of the year compared with the fourth quarter of 2017, while goods imports expanded by 2.9 percent.
In March, the volume of Hong Kong's total exports of goods climbed by 5.3 percent year-on-year and the volume of imports of goods gained by 8.1 percent.
