200 franchised products unveiled for Beijing Expo 2019

Beijing World Horticultural Expo Coordination Bureau recently unveiled more than 200 franchised products, some of which would be on sale at the Global Xinyi Department Store, a franchised store of Expo in Yanqing district. To date, Beijing Expo 2019 has made about 800 categories of licensed products available to shoppers.

The newly unveiled licensed products include badges, medals, commemorative albums, handicrafts, key chains, T-shirts, scarves, and hats.

Many products feature clever designs related to the expo. For example, the "China Top Ten Famous Flowers" series integrate the elements of Beijing Expo 2019 into the 10 flowers of plum, peony, chrysanthemum, orchid, rose, osmanthus, camellia, lotus, sweet-scented osmanthus, and narcissus into products such as silver tickets, gold tickets and copper gold-plated medals. This series is aimed to make the unique precious flowers of China better known in the world, which conforms to the theme of the expo. Of creative designs, the products are of great ornamental and collection value.

Two other examples are the "Auspicious Expo" and the "Colorful Expo" series, which are ornaments made of silver, gold or jade. The products are designed to feature the night views of the China Pavilion and the International Pavilion, both main venues for Beijing Expo 2019. The items are made of silver with gold threads, taking the shape of iPads.

The franchised products also feature interesting designs, such as an outstanding gold carving named "The Great Wall." Marked Beijing Expo 2019 emblem, the picture takes the Great Wall as the main part, placing the expo at the foot of the Great Wall. With the gold carving technique the Great Wall in the picture appears most magnificent. It is an artwork blending Chinese elements with themes of the expo, giving a full display of Beijing Expo 2019, and making it a great souvenir for visitors.

Some products also convey ideas of green living and environmental protection. A set of "Mini Children's Tableware" is one such item. With a lovely shape, it is made of high-quality natural rice husk fiber and starch adhesive. It is pollution-free during production and can be naturally degraded after being discarded.

The Global Xinyi Department Store in Yanqing is the sixth franchise store of Beijing Expo 2019, and these products made debut just a couple of days ago when the store opened. The store is the largest store in Yanqing, with a business area of more than 90,000 square meters and a daily costumer volume of 15,000 to 18,000. In the 32-square-meter franchised shop, there are streams of shoppers every day.

In addition to the sixth store in Yanqing, five other franchised stores that opened on Sept 23 of 2017, are located in the Wangfujing Gongmei Mansion, the Bird's Nest, the Beijing Book Building in Xidan, the Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area, and the Yanqing Post Office. In these stores, 800 categories of franchise products are available for sales.
