Vice-Premier Hu Chunhua to head CIIE Organizing Committee

The State Council, China's cabinet, has decided to establish the China International Import Expo Organizing Committee, which will be headed by Vice-Premier Hu Chunhua.

The Ministry of Commerce, the municipal government of Shanghai, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other departments will be members of the committee, whose office will be in the Ministry of Commerce, said a notice released on Monday.

The notice also said the committee should develop overall plans for the expo, including implementations, and coordinate specific tasks during in preparation for the annual event.
