Authentic Yunnan cuisine chain, Xanadu Beijing Earth Kunming is launching a new branch in Beijing that will focus on traditional Yunnan-style pastries. Xizhou baba from Dali, Yunnan province, is a crispy baked pie with sweet or salty fillings, such as rose and brown sugar or meat with spiced salt. Besides Xizhou baba, the eatery also provides other Yunnan signatures, such as rice noodles in a small pot, tofu rice noodles, and fried potato chips. The special coconut drink with sago and rusk is a must-try.
