Beijing Shijingshan Amusement Park invites couples to celebrate Qixi at night

The Beijing Shijingshan Amusement Park invited 77 couples from the service industry to enjoy themselves on the evening of Aug 7 – Qixi Festival , or China’s own Valentine’s Day.

Bus and taxi drivers and cleaners were able to experience the thrill of "flying" by sitting in a ride in front of a large spherical screen. After fastening their seat belt, the seats started to rise up and down. They watched a video with beautiful views of China, with aircrafts like a fighter plane or helicopter flying over the sky on the screen.

They also watched an excellent circus performance from Europe, and had a ride in a Ferris wheel to enjoy a bird's eye view of the lightened up area.

The park holds various activities for guests at night. Until Aug 18, those who hold an ID card for Shijingshan district can buy up to three tickets of the circus performance at half price.
