Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor on Friday appealed to people in the city to treasure Hong Kong, their shared home.
Hong Kong is built by all Hong Kong people and it needs everybody to make joint efforts for the good of the city, Lam said in a one-minute video she posted on social media on Friday.
Titled Treasure Hong Kong – Our Home, the video shows the everyday lives of residents, including bus drivers, street vendors, restaurant employees, sanitary workers and officer workers in the city's business areas.
The video, produced by Hong Kong government, was published at a time when the city's social order and people's daily lives have been affected by protests since June 9.
