2019 Yanqi Lake Entrepreneur Forum and Greats-in-the-Making comes to end

The 2019 Yanqi Lake Entrepreneur Forum and Greats-in-the-Making event drew to a successful closure. The forum featured seven days and nights of joint learning and growth with 4,000 business elites and people from all walks of life.

At this year's forum and learning session, the ZS Institute presented three solutions targeting corporate development, family construction and personal growth: the 3.0 Corporate Solutions White Paper, the Family Construction White Paper and the Learning Method Featuring Unity of Knowing and Acting White Paper.

Renowned entrepreneurs shared 3.0 corporate solutions at the "Dawn of New Business Civilization" session. 3.0 corporations not only provide unique tangible values for their customers, but also intangible values that benefit the spiritual world, to “build a benign cycle between corporations and customers to turn the customer relations page into a customer relations book”. Two 3.0 corporations made their debuts at the 2017 Yanqi Lake Forum, releasing their lofty missions; at the 2018 Yanqi Lake Forum, 100 3.0 corporations ushered in the dawn of a new business civilization; in 2019, the 3.0 Corporate Solutions White Paper was released, presenting systematic solutions for evergreen enterprises. Any corporation can become a 3.0 one, as long as entrepreneurs invest efforts in cultivating spiritual qualities of their own, as well as their cadres and employees, by discovering themselves and purifying their souls. They can break bottlenecks, find blue oceans, achieve direct reach and form virtuous circles. A 3.0 corporation, by building heart-to-heart connections, can quickly develop potential and kinetic energy. Figuratively, it is like small snowballs on a long snow slope — when the snowballs reach the foothill, they have the potential to create a storm. The Chinese culture quartet helps with the success of a 3.0 corporation, and 3.0 corporations push forward the new business civilization wave.

Attendees understood the secret of the Chinese culture quartet and learned how to practice it in family construction. The challenges faced by families in the social transformation period finally welcomed their feasible and effective solutions. More importantly, many 3.0 corporations started to realize helping their customers build happy families are important opportunities to substantially improve customer relations. The business world has become a broad stage to showcase the great power of Chinese culture after business practices become permeated with the essence of the culture. Now many families enjoy practical benefits from 3.0 corporate practices.

Zhang Liping, secretary-general of the ZS Institute, shared his practice of learning through unity of knowing and acting and his insights on life in the "Learn for Loyalty to Serve the Country" section. The learning method featuring unity of knowing and acting is in essence the quartet-based learning method; that is, to discover ourselves and purify our souls by practicing the "Soul–Way–Morality–Work" Quartet and enlighten other lives with our own enlightened life while staying united in knowing and acting. It is worth noting cultivating the spiritual qualities does not deny the importance of talent. "Learning is like a crossbow while talent is like an arrow." Constant improvements in spiritual qualities lay the stage to better utilize one's talent. The quartet helps entrepreneurs establish everlasting enterprises, cadres and employees to maximize their life values, couples to build happy families, the young to open up bright futures and the elderly to enjoy their remaining years in comfort. Further, it is conducive to the great and soaring causes of national rejuvenation and building a community of shared future for mankind.

Professor Jin Yinan from the National Defense University of the People's Liberation Army delivered a speech titled Required Qualities of Leaders in the New Era. This was Jin's third appearance at Yanqi Lake forums, and his sixth speech at a learning session of the ZS Institute. Jin pointed out three qualities of a leader — loyalty, integrity and responsibility — are also applicable to every entrepreneur who plays a part in the great cause of national rejuvenation. He gave the following definitions of "loyalty, integrity and responsibility". Staying loyal to the cause, the ideal, and the faith is called loyalty; striving to become a role model and never forgetting your original aspirations are called integrity; standing up for the cause and having the courage to undertake tasks personally and responsibilities are called responsibility.

This year's forum and learning session set up more than 10,000 remote classes to enable synchronous learning and practices with the help of live videos and local volunteers. Specifically, 125 remote classes in 30 countries or regions were fully involved during the seven-day forum and learning session. The countries and regions included 13 in Asia, namely Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, India, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Israel, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates; 10 in Europe, namely the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Sweden; four in the Americas, namely the United States, Canada, Mexico and Chile; two in Oceania, namely Australia and New Zealand; and Ghana in Africa. Most of these nations are part of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Starting next year, the ZS Institute will strive to promote the essence of Chinese culture and the state governing ideas of national leaders among countries along the Belt and Road by establishing 3.0 corporate forum series in these countries. Meanwhile, the three-hour workshops themed family construction will also go global to benefit local people in these countries.

The forum released Cultural Confidence and National Rejuvenation book in 11 languages: English, French, Japanese, German, Russian, Vietnamese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic and Italian. All these versions have official published copies available around the world.

The forum also released 100 classes in 60 courses called "3.0 Entrepreneur Classroom" and 150 classes in 80 courses called "Construction of Happy Families". Participants are welcome to set up learning plans and interaction systems on the ZS Institute app to find targeted solutions to their life and career troubles.
