Gansu New Media Group

Gansu Daily established Gansu New Media Group using the editorial and non-editorial resources of Gansu Daily Newspaper Group,as per the decisions and arrangements of Gansu provincial Party committee and under the direct leadership of the Publicity Department of Gansu provincial Party committee. The move, aimed at deepening integrated development of media while maintaining high standards and quality in the province, turned out to be an important milestone in the history of Gansu Daily and opened a new chapter in integrated development of Gansu Media.

In July 2018, Gansu Daily submitted Establishment Plan of Gansu New Media Group to the Publicity Department of the provincial Party committee and began laying the physical and online infrastructure such as the media platform of the New Media Group.

On August 13, 2018, the Publicity Department of the provincial Party committee approved the establishment of Gansu New Media Group. The group is managed by the Publicity Department of Gansu provincial Party committee and Gansu Daily, and financially backed by Gansu Daily Newspaper Group Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 50 million yuan. On October 28, 2018, Gansu New Media Group was officially inaugurated. On the same day, the "New Gansu" app, the largest integrated mobile news platform in Gansu province, went online.
