Storehouse of 'Si Ku Quan Shu' Collection by Wensu Chamber

Costing a total of more than 50 million yuan, the storehouse occupies 52.9 mu, with its floor area covering more than 5,700 sq m. Built in an architecture style of the Ming and Qing dynasties, the storehouse presents a garden-like layout and is designed and constructed using modern technologies and following the collection standards and safety specifications for keeping national treasured cultural relics.

Its size of construction, safety performance, internal facilities and modern technological applications all lead its peers nationwide. In 2005, the Si Ku Quan Shu Research Society of Gansu Province, which was joined by more than 100 renowned scholars in philology, history, and literature across the province, was established in Lanzhou. The society has engaged more than 20 academic consultants who are well-recognized researchers in Si Ku Quan Shu and related areas from Gansu and other provinces.

As a platform for academic exchanges and coordination, the society is dedicated to promoting research, utilization and protection of the Si Ku Quan Shu Collection.

Currently, the storehouse has become a key patriotism education base in Gansu province and a new must-see cultural attraction along the Silk Road. In the past 50-plus years, the Si Ku Quan Shu Collection has been well preserved in the province, which is widely acknowledged by government leaders and industry experts.
