Developing a sound relationship between China and the European Union - both champions of multilateralism and free trade – not only conforms to their common interests, but will also bring greater stability, certainty and positive energy to the world, President Xi Jinping said on Monday.
Xi made the remarks in a phone conversation with European Council President Charles Michel, the first such talks since the latter started his tenure as the third president of the EU body on Dec 1.
