Social security
Ten provinces in the country have increased their basic pension levels, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
Up to now, the number of social security cardholders in China exceeded 1.3 billion, accounting for over 93 percent of its whole population. Over 80 million electronic social security cards have also been issued.
As of the end of October, 59.77 million poor people registered have been insured in basic aged-care insurance.
