Iran announces suspension of all sports events for 10 days

TEHRAN -- Iran will suspend all the sports events in the country for 10 days over the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, also named COVID-19, official IRNA news agency reported on Saturday.
From February 24, all the sports activities and events, including the soccer matches, will be stopped for 10 days, the headquarters said in a statement.
Since Wednesday when Iran announced the earlier cases of COVID-19 infection in the country, 29 Iranians have been confirmed infected by the virus, out of which six have died.
