Xi to meet online with EU leaders on Monday

President Xi Jinping will meet with European Council President Charles Michel, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the rotating chair of the regional body, via video link on Monday, the Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday.
The meeting comes during intensive diplomatic engagement between China and the European countries amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as global economic recession, due to the impact of the outbreak.
