Nine new confirmed cases recorded in Inner Mongolia
The city of Manzhouli in Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Thursday reported nine new confirmed cases of COVID-19, two of which were asymptomatic cases reported on Wednesday, the city's health commission said.
A new suspected case and an asymptomatic case were also reported on Thursday.
All patients have been sent to designated hospitals for treatment.
Manzhouli collected more than 200,000 samples from all residents across the city and finished nucleic acid testing on Thursday morning.
The city has traced and quarantined for observation 443 close contacts. Further epidemiological investigations are underway.
The city organized a test team of 558 medical workers to collect samples at 30 stations located across the city, carrying out a rapid, high-quality testing campaign.
As of 7 am on Thursday, the city had reported 11 local confirmed cases, two suspected cases and one asymptomatic case since two local confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported on Saturday.
