BEIJING - The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authority in Taiwan will eventually swallow bitter fruit if it continues to stir confrontations with the mainland, a mainland spokesperson said Friday.
Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, made the remarks in response to a social media post by the DPP authority's so-called "representative to the United States" which insinuates the mainland is "bullying" Taiwan.
Taiwan is a part of China and "Taiwan independence" is a dead-end road, Zhu said.
