Healthcare will also enjoy an even stronger focus in the coming five years. Merck wants to be a part of this journey, so we keep localizing our production in China, as evidenced by our new, modern pharmaceuticals factory in Nantong, Jiangsu province.
And with this renewed focus on healthcare, the Life Science market has also started to witness something like a "bio revolution" – for biomolecules, biosystems, biomachines and biocomputing.

My colleagues from Merck Life Science are here to support Chinese doctors and lab technicians in this revolution. For that purpose, we opened our M Lab ? Collaboration Center in Shanghai. There, we help bio pharmaceutical and biologics companies to improve their processes – from drug discovery to their development to their manufacturing.
