Charity walk to raise funds for young patients

A charity campaign launched by Roche Pharma is aiming to raise 1 million yuan for a fund for young patients suffering from critical illnesses nationwide starting from June.

Every 1,000 steps a participant walks, Roche will donate 1 yuan during the online charity campaign, which has been going on for 12 consecutive years.

Roche will work with the Ai You Foundation to send charity knits including hospital necessities to young patients and their families.

Critical illnesses like congenital heart diseases, blood diseases and malignant tumors are posing threats to young sufferers and their families, both financially and mentally.

The walking charity fund in 2020 went to 41 children aged newborn to 17 with more than 10 illnesses nationwide, and the fund has raised more than 6 million yuan to help more than 1,600 patients during the past 12 years.
