Millennium Dance Rhyme gets moving in Colombia
From Jan 6 to 13, the online performance "Millennium Dance Rhyme" was staged as a prelude to the programs "Happy Chinese New Year" and "Chinese Culture Month" in Colombia in 2022, as well as a way to commemorate the upcoming 42nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia on Feb 7 and the Beijing Winter Olympic Games.
The performance was co-hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Colombian Ministry of Culture, the Chinese Embassy in Colombia, the China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater and the Julio Mario Santo Domingo Theatre in Colombia.
The show has been available online for a week, bringing New Year wishes to people all over the globe in home quarantine due to the epidemic.
Xu Wei, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Colombia, spoke highly of the fruitful achievements in bilateral political, economic, trade and cultural exchanges in the 42 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia, and expressed his willingness to work with Colombia to promote the continuous development of China-Colombia relations.
