Fortunately, a girl spotted the child and jumped into the water to save him. With the help of several strangers, Wang's son was pulled out.
"He looked so weak. If he had not been found quickly by kind people, I probably would have lost him," Wang said.
Years have passed, but the incident is still fresh in Wang's memory. To pass down the good deed, he joined the rescue team that patrols the Xiangjiang River in 2012, ready to rescue anybody in danger.
