Hangzhou Olympic Sports Stadium, located on the bank of Qiantang River and also known as the "big lotus", will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022. It will also be the venue for track and field events as well as the opening and closing ceremonies of the Asian Paralympic Games. The opening ceremony of the Asian Games will be directed by a team led by director Lu Chuan, and that of the Asian Paralympic Games will be directed by a team led by director Sha Xiaolan.
