Ceramic master launches NFT version of signature work

Throughout centuries, caledon porcelains fired at the Yue kilns in today's Zhejiang province have been admired by ceramic lovers. Its beauty and elegance have inspired artisans to revive the centuries-old technique.

Ji Xigui, a national-level master of ceramic making, is one of the preeminent figures in this endeavor. Now into her 70s, Ji is still working to bring the beauty and refinement of caledon porcelains of Yue kilns back to life.

Ji, a native of East China's Zhejiang province, has created a body of works, in which many of her finest are kept in the collections of museums and institutions across the country. Recently, Ji cooperated with the Hangzhou Culture Assets and Equity Exchange and Theone.art, a digital art e-commerce platform, in launching an NFT version of one of her works, A Hundred Sunflowers in Full Bloom, in a way to promote traditional arts and crafts with the aid of crypto asset technology.
