China's Qi, Wu win trap individual golds at ISSF World Cup

SEOUL -- Chinese shooters Qi Ying and Wu Cuicui won the men's and women's individual trap golds respectively at the ISSF World Cup in Changwon, South Korea on Tuesday.
Qi, competing with three Italian marksmen in the medal match, made 29 hits to claim the title, two more than Lorenzo Ferrari. Daniele Resca took the bronze.
The victory marked the first time a Chinese shooter has stood atop the World Cup men's trap podium since 1996.
In the women's competition, Wu edged Australia's Penny Smith by one hit and won the gold medal with 31 hits. Lucy Hall of Britain took the bronze.
The two winners will represent China in team events on Wednesday.
