Shanghai theme park unveils Ultraman area
Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park unveiled an Ultraman-themed venue on Sunday for an internal test and trial operations will begin on July 24, mainly targeting parents traveling with their children.
The fictional hero Ultraman, the main character of a Japanese science-fiction television series, is extremely popular with young audiences.
It's the first Ultraman-themed venue of Haichang Ocean Park Holdings Ltd, which runs theme parks in China's major cities.
At the venue, tourists can watch plays about the adventures of Ultraman at a themed theater. There are also Ultraman exhibitions, souvenir shops, a restaurant and entertainment center, creating an immersive experience.
At Ultraman Square, they will be awed by a 12-meter-high statue of Ultraman and enjoy an augmented reality interactive experience.
