Nanchong city in Southwest China's Sichuan province has rich natural resources and profound cultural heritage.
Nanchong silk has been transported to many places, making the city famous for silk production. Nanchong is also known for its 300-year-old giant puppetry featuring flexible shapes and vivid figures resembling real people. They can get dressed up or down, use swords or even play musical instruments. The giant puppet show was listed as a national-level intangible cultural heritage in 2006.
