Mentougou rolls out six travel routes
Western Beijing's Mentougou district has launched six self-driving and cycling routes for travelers to savor its charm this late autumn.
Those routes highlight red autumn leaves, distinctive courtyards and star observation experiences.
Travelers can enjoy the charm of local villages, green mountains and limpid water, as well as intangible cultural heritage and gourmet food along the way.
The move is aimed to boost rural vitalization and publicize the superb autumn tourism resources in Mentougou, according to local authorities.
The district is striving to transform itself into an international hot spot for mountain sports and a top short-distance destination for the capital.
Some of the must-see spots include Miaofeng Mountain, Tanzhe Temple and Shuanglongxia scenic area.
