He sent equipment staff to drone makers to learn about technical specifications and provide feedback and suggestions. He also arranged test flights of small drones to accumulate experience and flight data.

Based on drone tactics devised by Sun, his company has begun to deploy drones in combat exercises, finding it helpful to achieve operational targets.

During a recent urban assault exercise, Sun's company was tasked with carrying out a major offensive operation. He ordered the use of small drones to provide effective support to soldiers.

Under his command, soldiers in the company have become good at combat maneuvers and are skilled in battle tactics and high-tech hardware. The company has won many operations contests organized by the group army and higher commands.

Due to his outstanding service record, Sun has been awarded several medals and citations and was recently elected as a deputy to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
