World leaders offer solutions to global challenges at G20 Summit in Bali

During his luncheon speech, International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach found the summit's theme resonates well with new Olympic motto of "faster, higher, stronger, together". Olympic spirit features solidarity and peace, he said, calling for world leaders to "give peace a chance".

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, followed with pointing out that football unites the world. He is proposing a ceasefire of Ukraine-Russian conflict for a month starting from the opening of Qatar World Cup five days later.

The summit in fact started by responding to the challenge of climate change by launching the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) between Indonesia and the International Partners Group (IPG) which are comprised of the United States, and Japan as joint leads, along with the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the European Union, Canada, Italy, Norway, and Denmark. Under JETPT, Indonesia will mobilize $20 billion over the next three to five years so that it can retire coal plants and accelerate its shift towards renewable energy sources.

Luhut Pandjaitan, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment, said Indonesia wants to "build a more sustainable economy for the future generation". He said the JETP is a "historic partnership" and "a groundbreaking model of international cooperation".
