A group of foreign students studying in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, visited the Asian Games Village on Aug 2 to see what the home of the athletes participating in the upcoming Games will look like, local media reported.

At the village's reception center, a young and vibrant foreign girl stood in front of the camera, sharing her experiences and observations. "Hi! I'm Gokova Marjina, also known as Mingzhu in Chinese. I'm from Turkmenistan and currently studying in Hangzhou. Today, we are here at the Hangzhou Asian Games Village, so come along with me and let's experience it together!"

A total of 10 foreign students, including Marjina, participated in the tour.

"When I was learning Chinese, I was taught that a '村' (village) is a small place. So, when I first heard about the Asian Games Village, I thought it would be small. But after arriving here, it was like a city with high-rise buildings and various different areas serving different purposes," Marjina said.

"I don't think it's just a 'village'; it's more like a vast five-star resort with everything you could imagine. There are swimming pools, medical centers, commercial areas, delivery stations, and more. Living here seems incredibly convenient."

Boarding the shuttle bus within the Asian Games Village, the team arrived at the athletes' village residence and service center, where they saw the bilingual information on the electronic guide maps of the three village areas.

The well-designed layout, spacious living rooms, cozy bedrooms, and smart appliances showcased Hangzhou's intelligent and cost-effective approach to organizing the Asian Games.

They also visited the fitness center, comprehensive outpatient department, athletes' dining hall and riverside commercial area. All the members were amazed by what they saw.
