Disabled athletes from across the nation gather to show resilience
Roughly 70 disabled competitors from nationwide e-sports events have joined a weeklong e-sports promotion activity in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, from Sunday to Saturday, during which they will demonstrate their vitality and spirits of perseverance.
The activity is organized by the China Disabled Persons' Federation and supported by the Asian Paralympic Games Organizing Committee and disabled persons' federations of the Zhejiang province and Hangzhou city.
These disabled competitors will take theoretical lectures on e-sports and e-sports matches and on-site e-sports learning at avenue of the Hangzhou Asian Games during the weeklong activity.
According to the China Disabled Persons' Federation, the activity aims to offer the best gaming experience for disabled competitors and create a freer, more interesting and happier gaming world for the disabled people by taking advantage of high technologies.
The Hangzhou Asian Games will take place in Hangzhou from Sept 23 to Oct 8, and e-sports will be included as an official event at the Games for the first time.
