Dongwang village in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou in Jiangsu province – recently featured on a cultural and tourism visiting program broadcast on the CCTV-1 national television channel.
By immersing itself in the beautiful countryside, the program aims to tell the stories of the great changes in the mountainous areas in the new era and to highlight the achievements of rural vitalization.
On the program, host Lu Jian, writer Zhu Yong and actress Gao Yuanyuan experienced the idyllic scenery of Dongwang village and witnessed some of the agricultural activities taking place there.
Dongwang village is situated in Qianduo town, where the renowned Qianduo Scenic area is also located. The village is a popular rural tourist attraction, where visitors can take in cole flowers in the spring and taste crabs and watch chrysanthemums in the autumn.
To date, Dongwang has received recognition for having the most beautiful cole flower fields in China, for being the most beautiful village in Jiangsu, the most charming leisure village in the province – and it was made a four-star rural tourism site in Jiangsu, among other accolades.
