Bertrand Lortholary, the French ambassador to China, delivered an impactful address during the ceremony. He emphasized the crucial role that biodiversity protection plays in safeguarding the future of our planet, emphasizing the necessity for continuous cooperation between the Chinese and French people.

"This year's theme, ‘a(chǎn) different life’, is designed to prompt the public to reevaluate their lifestyle choices, work practices, consumption habits, and production methods," stated Lortholary. "A wide range of activities has been organized to help participants explore and learn about environmentally friendly solutions."
