Fosun Pharma out in force at 6th CIIE

Chinese pharmaceutical company Fosun Pharma and its overseas member companies and global partners are participating in the China International Import Expo for the sixth consecutive time this year.

The expo opened on Nov 5 and will run till Friday.

This year, Fosun Pharma's booth is showcasing its latest innovations achievements. Several cutting-edge medical technologies and innovative products are also making their debut at the CIIE. Among them is the Intuitive Fosun da Vince Xi surgical system by Intuitive Surgical-Fosun Medical Technology (Shanghai) Co Ltd.

Launched on Monday, the product marks the first time the da Vinci Xi surgical system, which is widely considered a revolutionary product in the realm of minimally invasive surgery, has been localized.

The surgical system can reduce the size of wounds and minimize the occurrence of infections and complications compared with traditional surgeries.

The launch of the domestically produced da Vinci surgical system will help more Chinese surgeons master the world's leading robot-assisted surgical technology, said the company.
