Sanya deeply dives into 6th CIIE

The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) kicked off in Shanghai on Nov 5. Sanya had an impressive 40 purchasing enterprises register for the event, which sent 90 delegates representing various sectors including trade and commerce, foreign trade, cruise yacht, automobile sales, tourism, and cultural activities.

During this CIIE, Sanya will host a parallel event, the High-end Consumer Industry Investment Forum, for the first time. The forum aims to invite major international luxury conglomerates and their brand representatives to offer cooperation opportunities for businesses.

Hainan province attaches great importance to the 6th CIIE and has organized a larger Hainan trade delegation this year than in any previous year. A total of 325 companies and more than 1,500 representatives will participate.

During the CIIE, the Hainan trade delegation will attend the opening ceremony, "Invest in China" Summit, Shanghai presentation session, and 16th Belt and Road Ecological Agriculture and Food Safety Forum. It will also visit the China Pavilion to explore the achievements in the construction of the Free Trade Pilot Zone over the past 10 years, and encourage enterprises to build their projects in Hainan.

The Hainan trade delegation will make full use of the international procurement, investment promotion, cultural exchange, and open cooperation platforms during the CIIE. Numerous companies will engage in international procurement of commodities such as corn, soybeans, frozen products, milk powder, medical equipment, and consumer goods. Multiple units will organize 16 promotional events, visits, and exhibitions to attract investment, covering sectors including agriculture, commerce, tourism, performing arts, medicine, and aviation materials.
