10 Years: WIC Perspectives - Extending a helping hand through the Internet

"Look, what a wonderful world", arguably one of the catchiest taglines on Chinese TV, came from Yang Lan, a successful host-turned-entrepreneur. As the Internet develops at a fast pace, she said that the WIC is an important interactive platform for civic and professional engagement.

Obsessed with ever-changing technologies, she and her team embarked on a documentary tour into the realm of artificial intelligence across the world. Throughout the journey, she discovered how the Internet created a flattened world and gave a bigger voice to the people, especially women, to express their thoughts and ideas.

As every coin has two sides, so too does the Internet. Yang appreciates the role of the WIC in bringing the issue to the table and addressing it.

Now as the Chairperson of Sun Media Group, Yang affirms the positive impact of the Internet on charity and the development of public welfare.
