Hangzhou's No 7 water bus line, dubbed the "most beautiful water bus" by locals, has recently received a boost with the introduction of new boats.

Previously, each boat could accommodate only eight passengers, leading to long queues during peak hours. However, during the Asian Games, a fleet of upgraded boats arrived in the city, and after a period of safety testing, the boats are now officially operating.

The new boats feature a distinctive Jiangnan-style design and boast 24 seats. Equipped with air conditioning, the cabins aim to enhance the comfort of passengers.

Currently, both the new and old boats are in use, maintaining the same routes, schedules, and ticket prices.

The addition of the upgraded boats addresses the demand for increased capacity and also adds a touch of elegance to the water bus experience. The iconic line is expected to continue being popular among locals and tourists alike, who want to enjoy the scenic beauty of Hangzhou from its waterways.
