The first China-manufactured large cruise ship Adora Magic City completed 30 voyages by May 5 since its inaugural voyage on New Year's Day, entertaining nearly 130,000 guests from around the world, announced CSSC Cruise, the operator of the Adora Magic ship, on May 9.

Apart from providing top-notch service, the five months of operation have also validated Adora cruise's capabilities in maritime performance, safe navigation, ship-shore coordination, business models, service processes, and customer experience. This achievement signifies the comprehensive operational capabilities of Adora Cruises and marks a significant breakthrough in independent cruise operations in China.

According to CSSC Cruise, the Adora cruise embodies the essence of both Chinese and Western cultures, striving to create cruise vacation products that cater to the preferences of Chinese guests. Recently, the Adora Magic ship innovatively introduced cultural experiences combining cruises with intangible cultural heritage. The first folk song-themed voyage, tea culture-themed voyage, the inaugural Sea Reading Festival, and a series of sea lectures have all received enthusiastic responses from the passengers.

As summer approaches, the cruise will host summer parent-child theme activities from late June to the end of August. For example, the "Sea Navigators' Lecture Hall" series, focusing on maritime culture, will invite ship experts to unveil the behind-the-scenes stories of amphibious warships, LNG vessels, and large-scale domestic cruise ships, providing insights into China's manufacturing achievements. Children can participate in the "Little Navigators" program, where they can transform into young captains, experience simulated navigation at the helm, learn about maritime safety, and embark on a fun-filled journey of maritime exploration.

China stands as the world's second-largest source of cruise tourism, with an estimated 4.5 million cruise passengers expected by 2030. The direct economic contribution of cruise operations is projected to exceed 75 billion yuan ($10.38 billion), accounting for over 10 percent of the global operating market share. When considering equipment manufacturing and related growth, the economic scale of the cruise industry is expected to reach approximately 120 billion yuan.

The delivery and operation of the Adora Magic ship not only position China as the fifth country globally with the capability to design and construct large cruise ships but also establish China as a country with completely independent large cruise ship operational capabilities.
