As of August 19, the new energy power generation capacity of Jinchang Power Grid was 4.39 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 39.94 percent, accounting for 54.73 percent of the total regional power generation, laying a solid foundation for the construction of a 10 million kilowatt new energy base, developing green power scientifically, achieving multiple benefits such as ecological benefits, economic benefits, and social benefits, and drawing a green picture of high-quality development.

Under background of building a new power system, the province's new energy has entered a new stage of large-scale and high-quality leaping development. Relying on rich scenery resources, Jinchang region has actively cultivated the "2+4" industrial chain and focused on building a new modern industrial system. Among them, "new energy and new energy batteries" are regarded as one of the 100 billion yuan industrial chain in Jinchang, which has effectively promoted the high-quality development of Jinchang. At present, the total installed capacity of new energy in Jinchang Power Grid is 5.56 million kilowatts, accounting for 75.6 percent, ranking fourth in the province. The review of the overall access system scheme of the second batch of projects during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) has been completed. The projects will be connected to the grid successively after the completion of the construction of the 750 kV water source substation. At that time, the installed capacity of new energy will reach 7.6 million kilowatts, accounting for 80.82 percent of the total installed capacity. The characteristics of the high proportion of new energy grid will be gradually highlighted.
