Tour of Hainan cycling race shines spotlight on Sanya's charm

With the arrival of the 15th Tour of Hainan International Road Cycling Race in 2024, global cyclists turn their attention to this tropical paradise - Hainan Island. Sanya, serving as both the host city and the finish line of the race, reveals to the world the endless allure of an international tourist city.

On Aug 31, the event reached its most thrilling moment - the fifth stage from Changjiang to Sanya.

Following the path of the cycling teams, this stage has multiple viewing points for spectators to experience the charm of an international competition up close.

The route of this stage passed through Tianya Haijiao, a place full of poetry and romance. For riders from around the world, crossing through such a romantic place is a profound satisfaction. For spectators, it offers a chance to feel the deep charm of Sanya while enjoying the race.

Across the sea from the race track lies West Island. Here, visitors can enjoy various leisure and recreational activities such as diving, fishing, and beach sports, experiencing the leisurely and pleasant island life. For the Tour of Hainan, West Island allows domestic and international riders and spectators to taste Sanya's slow-paced island charm.

In the race's final stretch, riders traverse the picturesque island tourist road around Sanya Bay. This road, known as the national coast treasure, with its azure sea, blue skies, and coconut-scented breeze, paints a breathtaking natural picture. Here, spectators can witness the ultimate showdown of the race and immerse themselves in Sanya's charm as an international tourist city.
