State Grid Tongling Power Supply Company completes transformation of Dingsheng substation
On Oct 17, the successful power transmission of the No 1 low reactance of the No 1 main transformer at the 500kV Dingsheng substation marked the completion of the first localization technological transformation project for the 500kV Dingsheng substation.
The 500kV Dingsheng substation, situated in Yi'an district, Tongling city, Anhui province, was officially taken over for localized operation and maintenance by the State Grid Anhui Tongling Power Supply Company on Jan 26, 2024.
The technical transformation project commenced on September 18, spanning a duration of 30 days. The primary focus was to replace the dry-type reactor at the low-voltage side of No 1 main transformer with an oil-type reactor to eliminate the potential risk of fire due to inadequate insulation strength during the operation of the dry-type reactor.
