Power supply company's advance management helps auto manufacturer save over 1m yuan

The new Geely Lotus headquarters for its intelligent line-controlled steering and industrialization project in Lin'an, Zhejiang province, successfully received electricity supply on Jan 14.

The project in the Hengfan Industrial Zone is a comprehensive industrial headquarters integrating functions such as research and development, testing, production manufacturing and marketing management. It focuses on the research and production of core components for new energy vehicles such as intelligent line-controlled steering and electric power-assisted steering, with an expected annual output of 1.2 million sets of intelligent line-controlled steering products and 600,000 sets of electric power-assisted steering products.

As one of the major construction projects in Zhejiang province under the "Thousands of Projects and Trillion-yuan of Investment" initiative in 2024, this project is also the second enterprise to establish its headquarters in Lin'an.

Project leader Lin Weiyang said, "Adequate power supply has provided strong support for our rapid development. The power supply company was able to complete the power connection on time and before the year-end, allowing sufficient time for equipment debugging and production line trial operation. It is expected that on Jan 20, two production lines will undergo trial operation, and we are racing against time to make the most of it."
