US' wrong action in wrong region at wrong timing

A spokesperson for the Eastern Theater Command has expressed China's firm stance regarding the passage of US warships through the Taiwan Strait. The US, under the guise of "freedom of navigation", frequently sends military vessels through the Taiwan Strait, not merely passing innocuously but making provocative statements that challenge China. These actions aim to convey the misleading message of "supporting Taiwan", escalating tensions in the Taiwan Strait and the Asia-Pacific, directly threatening peace and stability.

The Chinese navy's continuous monitoring of the US ships is a necessary response to US' irresponsible actions, demonstrating the Chinese military's strong resolve, confidence, and capability to safeguard national security. The PLA Eastern Theater Command's statement of "effective response and handling" indicate that China's military is not only capable of countering any threat but can also take proactive measures to defend its core interests.

Regardless of how the US attempts to intervene in China's internal affairs or exert military pressure, the Eastern Theater Command will remain on high alert and fully prepared for any response.

The statement reaffirms China's clear and unwavering position on the Taiwan question — Taiwan is an integral part of China, and Taiwan-related matters are strictly internal affairs. No foreign power has the right to interfere.

While China is committed to peaceful reunification and a shared future, it will not tolerate any form of separatism or external intervention. China's peaceful rise is driven by its own efforts and wisdom, aiming to promote global multipolarity, economic globalization, and cultural diversity. However, throughout this process, China will never compromise in defending its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security. Taiwan lies at the heart of China's core interests, and the PLA is always prepared to respond to any threat or challenge.
