The just concluded two sessions, the annual meetings of China's National People's Congress and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, not only opened up to the world about China's plans and its approach to global relations while boosting its economy but also highlights several areas of possible alignment with Africa.
James Shikwati, the director of Inter-Region Economic Network, a Nairobi-based independent African think tank, said China is focused on investing in digital technology, a sector that aligns with the interests of Africa's youth, who make up the largest percentage of the population.
