UK biz chief impressed by DeepSeek's entrepreneurial spirit

John McLean OBE, chairman of the China UK Business Development Centre, has expressed admiration for the burgeoning entrepreneurial spirit in China.

McLean, who has been working in China since 1999, shared his insights with China Daily on the significant impact DeepSeek, a Chinese tech start-up, has made on the global AI industry and capital markets. He highlighted that the new entrepreneurial spirit, exemplified by DeepSeek, is becoming increasingly prevalent in China, particularly in the tech sector. "DeepSeek has changed people's views enormously," McLean said, emphasizing that its success is partly driven by China's rapid development and substantial investments in science and technology.
