Looking ahead to the 2025 season, he emphasized the team's determination to reclaim its dominance. "I think we want to get Mercedes back on top, and we're working so hard to try and achieve that. I think realistically this season is going to be very challenging to fight for the championship. But we're going to be fighting for as many victories as possible."

Setting his sights on the competition, Russell acknowledged the strength of rival teams. "I think a realistic target would be to try and finish ahead of Red Bull and Ferrari. But right now, McLaren are doing an amazing job. Their drivers are doing a great job. And they look like the team to be at the moment, but it changes quickly in F1."

Meanwhile, the team's highly anticipated new driver, 18-year-old Antonelli, shared his excitement about joining both Mercedes-AMG Petronas and the IWC family. Having grown up immersed in motorsport, the Italian young driver sees this opportunity as a significant milestone.

"Racing and fine watchmaking are both about pushing the limits of what's possible - requiring absolute focus, dedication, and passion to achieve the potential for excellence," he said.

Visiting Shanghai for the first time, Antonelli is eager to take on the circuit. "I got the chance to drive a bit on the simulator and to learn a little bit. So definitely just trying to do a clean weekend, getting up to speed quickly with the track, and trying to achieve a good result," he said.
