With the berthing of the SITC YOKOHAMA vessel at the Haitian Terminal on March 24, Xiamen Port celebrated the inaugural voyage of the new Southeast Asia route CPX7, establishing an efficient, stable, and cost-effective logistics channel between Xiamen and the Philippines.

The CPX7 fills the gap in direct shipping services from Xiamen Port to Iloilo Port in the Philippines. By optimizing the port calling sequence to bypass the congested Manila North Port, the voyage duration from Xiamen to Iloilo has been reduced from eight days to three days, accelerating and enhancing the regional supply chain.

Centered around Xiamen Port, this route includes stops at Shanghai, Iloilo, Cebu, and Cagayan, operating a stable weekly schedule. In addition to handling traditional cargo, it accommodates special containers, dangerous goods, and other shipments, meeting the growing export demand for electronic products, consumer goods, and other goods between China and the Philippines.

In recent years, Xiamen Port has been actively expanding its international shipping routes, focusing on enhancing connectivity with Southeast Asian countries. The CPX7 route deploys two 1,100TEU vessels, expected to contribute over 500 additional containers to Xiamen Port's weekly throughput. This expansion not only diversifies the port's route network but also further consolidates Xiamen Port's position as a key hub in the Southeast Asian market.
